SAT 27 Llangynhafal Loop (*) AS 7.6km/533m 4.7miles/1750ft PM

4.75 miles and 1,760 ft (AS). A short run around the valley before heading up a steep stony gully emerging out near and then running to the top of Moel Famau. Then, a run along the Offas Dyke path until a junction where it takes a path down into Llangynhafal. As the ground flattens out it crosses a stream to face a steep climb up a grassy slope and at the top turns and runs down a grassy slope to the finish.

Registration is at the Golden Lion in Llangynhafal (LL16 4LN) which is 53 minutes from Heswall Squash Club. Entry (on the day only) is £4. The race start is 10 minutes away over fields.
Although not mandatory for an AS race, the RO has the right to insist on full kit to be carried up to – full body cover, hat, gloves, map, compass and whistle but it is unlikely this will be required. Certainly not if the weather is good.
Parking is limited so we will aim to travel in as few cars as possible, meeting at the Squash club with an aim to leave at 11am.
Race starts at 1pm. Prize giving and a recovery pint (or two) will be in the Golden Lion.
It will be a beautiful early summers day.
