2025 Road League
League Rules
- You must be a fully paid up, first claim member of the club to compete in the Road League
- Club vests must be worn for all Road League races, excluding the Roy Fisher Challenge
- Road League positions are based on chip rather than gun times
Points and Scoring
- The 2025 Road League consists of 15 events
- Points are awarded for your position relative to other Pensby Runners, with your 8 highest scores counting towards your final total
- For competitors who run 7 or fewer races, their final total will be the sum of all race scores
- The first woman and first man home for the club will be awarded 20 points, the second 19 points and so on. If there are more than 20 runners, the remaining runners will receive 1 point each
- Any runner starting a race but not finishing will be awarded 1 point

Sunday 19 January | 4 Villages Half Marathon – Helsby | Extremely popular with the club, always a great turnout |
January – December | Roy Fisher Challenge | Fastest time from any of the club’s 4 races. Full course only. Free to enter |
Sunday 16 March | Borders League – Ellesmere Port | As well as gaining points in the Road League you’ll be representing the club competitively. Free to enter |
Sunday 23 March | Liverpool Half Marathon | A great way to see the sights of Liverpool! Also handy for anyone contemplating a spring marathon |
March – August | Seaside Run | Fastest time from any of the 6 seaside races. Low cost |
Wednesday 9 April | Chester Spring 5 Mile | Starts at 7pm. Low cost |
Friday 16 May | Christleton 5k | Starts at 7.15pm |
Sunday 1 June | Jubilee Bridge Half Marathon | This race starts and finishes on the silver jubilee bridge between Runcorn and Widnes. Pacers at this event |
Wednesday 13 August | Ellesmere Port 5k | Starts at 7.15pm. Low cost |
Sunday 21 September | Guilden Sutton 10k | 2 loop course |
Sunday 12 October | Wirral 10k | Very likely to sell out. Flat course in New Brighton |
Saturday 25 October | Croxteth Hall Parkrun | Scenic location, very flat. Register on the Parkrun website. Free to enter |
TBC | 2 x Borders League | Dates will be announced when the 2025/26 race schedule is released. Free to enter |
Whenever! | Road Marathon | Any road marathon, at home or abroad. If running more than one marathon, fastest time counts |
