30 Year 30 Miles Celebration Run: As previously stated our Sunday Run this week will be of differing lengths along the same 30 mile route so do as much or as little as you want. The route is from Thurstaston Visitor Centre along the Wirral Way northwards to West Kirby, along the foreshore to Red Rocks and Stanley Road to Hoylake prom. From there it is along the coastal path to New Brighton and Seacombe which is 15 miles and return making 30 miles. I think a small group of hardcores will be doing the full 30 miles. The rest of us can choose to start either from the Centre doing a ‘there and back’ or any of the following mile points.
The 2.5 mile marker is the Yacht Club at the south end of West Kirby prom. This will give you a 5 mile run.
The 5 mile marker is at the beginning of Hoylake prom at Kings Gap. This would be for a 10 mile run. You could start at West Kirby, run here and then back in for a 7.5 mile run.
The 10 mile marker is by the Derby Pool pub so start here for a 10 mile or come here and back for a 20 mile.
Seacombe Ferry is 15 miles (14.6 actually) so start here for 15 or there and back for a full 30 miles.
Please arrange your own lifts if you are starting elsewhere on the route.
Your START TIME will need to be calculated in order to get you back to Thurstaston for 1.30 pm whereupon we will have a Pensby Picnic/BBQ on the field by the Centre. You will need to bring your own food/drink/BBQ e
