2018 race summary
The 2018 race took place on a calm dry day. Recent deep snow had melted so not surprisingly it was a tad wet and boggy under foot and not a day for course records.
The race was won by Steve Franklin of Totley AC in 01:46:14 and the first lady, who successfully defended her 2017 title, was Caitlin Rice of Ribble Valley Harriers in 02:02:06.
The Men’s and Ladies team prizes were won by Holmfirth Harriers.
First Denby Daler was Andrew du Feu, finishing 34th in 02:07:16 and first DDAC lady was Jo Worboys-Hodgson in 02:34:07.
Many thanks to Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team who made sure everyone returned safely off the fells.
